An Evening with author Christine Dwyer Hickey

A book reading and Q&A with the acclaimed Irish author at the Irish Consulate General in Frankfurt-am-Main

As part of the wider Frankfurt Book Fair celebrations, acclaimed Irish writer Christine Dwyer Hickey will do a reading event at the Irish Consulate General, followed by a Q&A session, with moderation by  Sinéad Mac Aodha of Literature Ireland. Ambassador Meave Collins of the Embassy of Ireland will open the event.

Event is free and starts 18.00 (doors 17:30). Registration via the link advised.

Dubliner Christine Dwyer Hickey is a novelist and short story writer, whose outstanding contribution to the creative arts in Ireland has been recognised through her membership of Aosdána. Her novel The Narrow Land (2019), which was recently translated into German, won two major prizes in the year 2020 – the Walter Scott Prize for Literary Fiction and the inaugural Dalkey Literary Award. 2020 also saw her novel Tatty (2004) chosen as UNESCOs Dublin One City One Book.
