CARA, a multi-national band with musical roots firmly in Irish traditional music, have long established themselves as one of the most respected groups representing Irish music on the continent. Music critics and fellow musicians highlight their proficiency in fresh, contemporary arrangements of material that is hundreds of years, and their creativity in composing new music that is deeply rooted in the tradition.

This tour brings the band and its music to areas that have not had constant access to touring Irish festivals and bands, exposing new audiences to high quality contemporary Irish music. With two Irish Music Awards (USA) as Best New Irish Artist 2010, and Top Group 2011, the Freiburger Leiter 2018 award, the Kaarster Stern 2020 (cultural award of the German city Kaarst), six studio and two live albums as well as countless performances under their belts, CARA are Germany’s best-known and hardest-touring Irish band at the moment. The band has been going from strength to strength in the 20 years of its existence.
