Anima Mundi is a European exchange project and network of non-profit organisations for sound art and contemporary music from Germany, Poland and Ireland that produces innovative sonic works on the experience of environmental relationships, climate change and ecological issues. Curated by Errant Sound e.V., the fifth edition of Anima Mundi will take place from 12th September to 1st November 2024 in Berlin and various parts of nearby Brandenburg, and focus on the audio walks of Irish project Sleepertown from OpenGorey. The 11 audio walks are accessible at any time during the project period via smartphone, Echoes app and headphones and can be experienced free of charge. On selected days, there will be guided tours on site for which tickets can be purchased. In addition to that, project partner Irish label Farpoint Recordings will present two label nights with works from various artists, including two new record releases.

More informationErrant Sound is dedicated to experimental work in sound related arts, including installation, performance, fieldwork, voice, radio and spatial practices. Through exhibitions, presentations, events, residencies and workshops, Errant Sound emphasizes an engagement with process and dialogue, encouraging a dynamic and diverse approach to sound art. Founded in 2010 by Brandon LaBelle and initially called Errant Bodies, since 2013 the project space has been managed and developed through a working group comprised of artists, researchers, curators, and writers focusing on sonic research and sound practices, with the current board comprising of Georg Klein, Mario Asef, Janine Eisenächer, Laura Mello, and Steffi Weismann. The working group develops initiatives and curates an experimental program of presentations, events, and exhibitions not only in their project space but also in public space and other locations.
