Zeitgeist Irland 24 – Opening event

A prestigious opening event for Zeitgeist Irland 24 – a year-long expanded festival of contemporary Irish arts across Germany – will take place on the 18th of January in the historic Metropol theatre in Berlin. Featuring world-class stars from a variety of artistic disciplines and genres who represent the richness and diversity of contemporary Irish arts.

The line-up includes composer Jennifer Walshe, opera singer Tara Erraught, dancer-choreographer Sheena McGrandles, traditional dancer Tura, spoken word artist Adam Mohamed, folk group Ye Vagabonds with Kate Ellis and classical and traditional violin an fiddle player Aoife Ní Bhriain. The spectacular line-up will represent a flavour of what will come within the vast programme of over 200 events throughout Germany in 2024.
