In Irish author Paul Lynch’s new novel “Prophet Song” (published in German as „Das Lied des Propheten“ by Klett-Cotta), Ireland finds itself in the grip of a government that is on its way to tyranny. Scientist and mother-of-four Eilish finds herself caught up in the nightmarish logic of a collapsing society, attacked by unseen forces beyond her control. She is forced to do everything she can to protect her family and keep them together. How far will Eilish go to save herself and them?
The conversation with the author, “one of the most acclaimed Irish writer of his generation” (Telegraph), is presented by Margarete von Schwarzkopf in German and English. Agnes Kammerer reads from the German translation by Eike Schönfeld.
Event: Monday 16.09., 19:30, Literaturhaus Frankfurt
