As part of the wider Frankfurt Book Fair celebrations, acclaimed Irish writer Christine Dwyer Hickey will do a reading event at the Irish Consulate General, followed by a Q&A session, with moderation by Sinéad Mac Aodha of Literature Ireland. Ambassador Meave Collins of the Embassy of Ireland will open the event.

Tuilleadh eolaisDubliner Christine Dwyer Hickey is a novelist and short story writer, whose outstanding contribution to the creative arts in Ireland has been recognised through her membership of Aosdána. Her novel The Narrow Land (2019), which was recently translated into German, won two major prizes in the year 2020 – the Walter Scott Prize for Literary Fiction and the inaugural Dalkey Literary Award. 2020 also saw her novel Tatty (2004) chosen as UNESCOs Dublin One City One Book.
