Banshee Press is a small independent Irish publisher that produces a twice-yearly literary journal, Banshee, as well as a select list of books. They love exciting, accessible, contemporary writing in all forms. Banshee Press was founded in 2014 by three writers: Laura Cassidy, Claire Hennessy and Eimear Ryan. In 2021, the Banshee Press founders were included in The Bookseller’s Rising Stars list.

Dylan Brennan is an Irish poet based in Mexico. He is a recipient of the Ireland Chair of Poetry Bursary award. In 2022 he won the inaugural Drumshanbo Written Word Weekend Poetry Film Award for Four Attempts at Making a Human, a poetry film in collaboration with Jonathan Brennan. He has read at literary festivals in Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Italy, Ireland and the USA. His second collection, Let the Dead (2023), is available from Banshee Press.

Gustav Parker Hibbett is a Black poet, essayist, and MFA dropout. Originally from New Mexico, they are currently pursuing a PhD at Trinity College Dublin. They are an Obsidian Foundation alum, and they were recently selected as a runner-up for The Missouri Review’s 2022 Poem of the Year award. Their work appears in Guernica, fourteen poems, The Stinging Fly, London Magazine, Frontier, Poetry Ireland Review, and elsewhere.

Rosamund Taylor won the Telegraph Poetry Prize 2023, The London Magazine Poetry Prize 2020 and the Mairtín Crawford Award for Poetry 2017. Widely published, her work has recently appeared in Butcher’s Dog, Magma, Mslexia, The Rialto and Poetry Ireland Review, and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and RTÉ radio. A selection of her poems is included in Queering the Green: Post-2000s Queer Irish Poetry (Lifeboat Press, 2021). Her debut collection, In Her Jaws (Banshee Press, 2022), was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Poetry Prize for a First Collection and the Yeats Society Poetry Prize, and longlisted for a Polari Prize.
